How to get there: Being located right in the centre of the Brisbane CBD it is walking distance from most of the major hotels.  It is also walking distance from the Roma Street Transit Centre (walk 5 blocks up George Street) and from the central train station.  Undercover parking for 750 vehicles is available, but can be expensive ($25 on Friday night).

They have a 'ride and play' program where they pay for your transport via public transport or Yellow Cabs.  Call 1800 506 888 for further information.

General Conditions: The renovated government Treasury Building makes a spectacular setting for this casino.  The main gaming floor is situated on the Queen St level under the four storey atrium with coconut palms set amongst the gaming tables.  It is easy to get lost in the surrounding rooms containing restaurants, bars, gaming machines and further table games.  The second level contains the VIP section and Club Conrad - a higher minimum betting area that is accessible to the general public.  Note that more stringent dress standards apply to this area. Blackjack Table numbers are as follows:

$5-$500: 19
$10-$500: 7
$25-$1000: 1
$50-$2000: 1

The availability of 5-500 tables and favourable rules makes this a great casino for card counting.  Currently between one and one and a half decks are cut from the 6 decks, but this varies greatly between dealers.  Some dealers consistently cut less than one deck.

Blackjack Rules

Back Betting / Wonging In
Back betting is allowed up to three hands per box.  Knowledge of basic strategy is quite good so this could be a good strategy.

Variations
Super sevens is available at most tables.  For a $1 side bet, any 7 pays $3, two sevens of any suit pays $50, two 7's of the same suit pays $100, three 7's of any suit pays $500 and three 7's of the same suit pays $5000. As with most blackjack side bets, these payouts are terrible.

Blackjack Basic Strategy

For a given set of blackjack rules, there is only one best action to take for each possible hand a player may get versus each possible upcard a dealer may have.  This set of "best actions" is know as the Basic Strategy.  The basic strategy to be followed at Conrad Treasury is as follows:
